Mission
Προμηθεύς Promētheús ‚der Vorausdenkende‘, [pʁoˈmeːtɔɪ̯s] .
– the creator of man from clay – is found in an open plan architecture flooded with diffuse light. Materials linked to his mythology surround him as stylised objects, being the only benchmark for space, substance and reality.
These objects show glitches and hints of their digital origin. Prometheus is trapped in a space between raw materiality and divine other-worlds.
The images show a combination of the character and sculptural shape in different materialities – first surrounding him then blending together with his body. The scenery is more static than dynamic, more monumental than spontaneous.
All images of the character are shot in the studio with bright diffuse light, the materials are added in postproduction using CGI.
